AmeriCorps NCCC Elm 50 Team

Let’s welcome Elm 50 to Mishawaka!
Mishawaka Res is excited to announce we have been awarded an AmeriCorps team through the AmeriCorps NCCC program. The team is expected to spend four weeks with us starting this week. We’ll be sharing this team with the City of Mishawaka Parks and Rec Dept.. There they will be creating interpretive signage and removing invasive plants along the Riverwalk. See the city’s article on the team HERE. At The Res they will be removing invasive plants, starting native seed, painting, and developing an environmental education program.

AmeriCorps NCCC teams assist organizations on a short-term basis to help address a compelling need in a community. To learn more about how your organization may apply for an AmeriCorps NCCC, go to ncccnorthcentral@americorps.gov.
